Proposed Improvements for
Hamilton Drain Updated

PHASE 3 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Work is nearly complete at the intersection of E.9th Street and Douglas Avenue.  Repaving should occur in August, followed by the completion of the box culvert into the Euclid Detention Basin behind KFC.  The completion of the E. 9th Street Detention Basin, paving of the walking path, and the replacement of storm sewer on E. 9th Street will follow.  The project should be completed before the end of 2024.

PHASE 4 DESIGN UPDATE: The final phase of the Hamilton Drain project is currentlypast the 60% design stage and will be bid in late fall 2024.  Constructionwill occur in the summer of 2025.   Refer to the proposed project mapfor limits of this construction.

FLOODPLAIN CHANGE SUBMITTAL TO FEMA: Construction of all phases must be completed before FEMA will review the completed project and consider changing the flood mapping.  This process is expected to start in 2026 and take approximately 12-18 months to complete.
